Editorial notes

What stands out

A straightforward free splash stop that works best for an easy local park outing rather than a feature-heavy destination trip.

Good fit

  • Families wanting a free, casual summer cool-down stop.
  • Toddlers through elementary-age kids who like open-ended water play.
  • Visitors pairing splash time with a broader Pine Grove Park outing.

Consider another option if

  • Families looking for a large spray park with major structures or buckets.
  • Visitors who need confirmed staffed supervision or formal amenities on site.
  • Cold or mixed-weather days when a short outdoor splash stop will feel limited.

Read more about this location

Aurora Splash Pad is a city splash pad in Pine Grove Park, created in 2021 on the site of the former wading pool. It is positioned near the ice rink area and is designed as a simple, family-friendly summer cool-down stop for local kids and visitors. Families can pair water play with the larger park setting, which adds mature trees and room to linger beyond a quick splash stop.
