Editorial notes

What stands out

One of the easiest all-ages splash outings on the Eastside: imaginative spray features, real park amenities, and enough surrounding activity to justify a longer family stop.

Good fit

  • Toddlers through elementary-age kids who like gentler spray play without a full pool commitment.
  • Families wanting a free splash pad attached to a larger park day.
  • Sibling groups needing nearby playgrounds, bathrooms, and picnic options.
  • Caregivers prioritizing accessible design and open sightlines.

Consider another option if

  • Families wanting a fully fenced splash zone.

Read more about this location

Crossroads Water Spray Playground is one of the most destination-worthy public splash pads in the Seattle metro for families who want more than a quick cool-down stop. The spray area uses water-themed features like spitting frogs, spouting orcas, and squirting clams, with no standing water and a design intended to work for a wide range of physical abilities. Because it sits inside larger Crossroads Park, families can pair splash time with playgrounds, picnic shelters, walking paths, a community center, and plenty of open space. It is especially strong for mixed-age siblings and repeat summer visits when you want a free, easy plan with bathrooms and parking already handled.
